Constable Teske,
On today, the 60th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Offcer but for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 49th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I am sure you are proud that your son continued your legacy of protecting and serving.

That picture is of my dad and his daughter Susan. Because of my father I became a Deputy Sheriff first in Lenawee County then in Jackson County. He was a great inspiration to his wife, myself my brother and my sister. We all have hoped that the person who he was chasing that August night would come forward and identify himself. The family would like to forgive him because, for that person, it must be horrible living with the guilt. We all miss my father.

Every May our county (Lenawee County) has a law enforcement memorial for fallen officers and I hear "Constable Richard Teske, died August 15, 1964"

As an officer in Lenawee County, I will always remember those who have gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect us.

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9 NLT

The authorities are sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for you will be punished. The authorities are established by God for that very purpose, to punish those who do wrong. Romans 13:4 NLT

Jesus said . . ., I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live . . . -John 11:25
