I am the youngest daughter of your daughter June. I know that my mother loved you very much and greatly missed you when you died. All of your children turned into special adults and you have 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren - so your legacy lives on. I wish that I had known you as a grandfather. I am looking forward to meeting you someday.
Your granddaughter,

Agent McClure, today marks the 76th anniversary of your murder. Providing protection to America's railroads has always been a dangerous yet vital task taken up by some of the bravest men and women. For your efforts and that of your colleagues that night who may have saved others by their actions, I thank you.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

Far too often railroad police officers are not noticed or not acknowledged. I am glad to see Special Agent McClure honored here. Justice may be blind, but these officers are the healthy eyes of the rails. God bless Christopher O. McClure, and his fellow high-iron officers for their work and countless sacrifices.

I am your only grandson, and am so sad that I never knew you. When you died, your son John, my father, had to become tha man of the family at 11 years of age, and take care of your sick and grieving wife. His life was changed forever. As was mine. I am told that I look like you, and even act like you. I wish you had been part of my life as a role model. I think my relationship with your son John would have been much better if you had lived. From you he learned the value of hard work, and you would be proud of him. I hope you would be proud of me as well. Rest in peace.
Your Grandson,
Mike
