I am moved to write this as a way to express how bad times are when any law enforcement officer doing their job are taken away from their family in such a horrible way. It makes no sense. I however will continue to do the job and continue to carry the torch that still burns in memory of these Honorable officers. To the family of both officers I say honor their memory and know if you keep the faith you will see them again. God Bless these officers and their family's.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Officer Magruder, you have a long road ahead of you. I am not too far ahead of you on this road, as I lost my husband in the line of duty, to gunfire last year. Just know that God is with you in every step you take and will always be there for you! Make good use of your support groups offered in your area, and know that you are not alone in your battle.

The law enforcement family in the great state of Maryland suffers yet another tragedy. A week following the death of Baltimore Police Officer Sheffield, two more from our family are killed senselessly. The thoughts and prayers of the entire Baltimore County Police Department go out to the friends, and family of Private MacGruder and Corporal Armaud, may you both rest in enternal peace. And may the scum that killed you burn in eternal hell.

Officer 1st Class Paul Hoke
Baltimore County Police

Rest in Peace. God bless the family and friends of this hero.

THE POLICEMAN’S LAST INSPECTION ...

THE POLICE Officer STOOD AND FACED Her GOD, WHICH MUST ALWAYS COME TO PASS. SHE HOPED HER SHOES WERE SHINING, JUST AS BRIGHTLY AS HER BRASS. "STEP FORWARD NOW, POLICE OFFICER. HOW SHALL I DEAL WITH YOU? HAVE YOU ALWAYS TURNED THE OTHER CHEEK? TO MY CHURCH HAVE YOU BEEN TRUE?"

THE POLICE OFFICER SQUARED her shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain’t. Because those of us who carry badges can’t always be a Saint. I’ve had to work most Sundays, and at times my talk was rough, and sometimes I’ve been violent because the streets are awfully tough. But I never took a penny that wasn’t mine to keep, though I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got to steep. And I never passed a cry for help, though times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I’ve wept many tears. I know I don’t deserve a place among the people here, they never wanted me around except to calm their fear. If you’ve a place for me Lord, it needn’t be so grand. I never expected or had too much, but if you don’t, I’ll understand."

There was silence all around the throne where the Saints had often trod. As the police officer waited quietly, for the judgement of her God. "Step forward now, Officer, you’ve borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on Heaven’s streets, you’ve done your time in hell."

To the family, friends and co-workers of Deputy Magruder... you must be in so much pain, and my heart goes out to you. She was so new to the force, as was my brother when he was killed. They are great friends now, together watching over all of us.
