Your heroism and service is honored today, the seventh anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I was so saddened when I read your memorial page and learned about you...you were incredibly brave and your profound sense of duty and your valor will never be forgotten. I hold your family in my heart's embrace today for I understand the meaning of lives forever altered by senseless violence.
It is my fervent hope that your vicious murderer received the maximum sentence and your family the measure of justice they deserve.
You had a glorious smile and I am sure that is the way you faced the world. Rest In Peace.
This reflection is left with the utmost respect for the distinquised service that Mary Lynn gave to her community and the citizens of Ohio, and the supreme sacrifice she and her family made.

A beautiful lady, a mother, wife and Police Officer taken just doing what we do. Trying to talk down a evil person who had done made a decision to kill. Maybe just maybe the killer will pay with his life so the country can be sure he will not be able to end another life, take someone else away from there family. I pray that the Lord has some way give your family and co-workers the strenght to survive and carry on. The way you preformed your final call was heroic and i am sure you were given the praise you deserved when you faced our creator. God Bless you Officer Beall and may God continue to bless your family and co-workers

Police Officer Mary Lynn Beall,
I would like to be able to write some meaningful words for every law officer listed in the ODMP. Each are noble heros. Each made a contribution to society beyond imagination. Some situations are more poignant than others. Some involve fearsomely bad instances, risky and dangerous confrontations, and others involve just plain bad luck. Officer Mary Lynn Beall's death is, at least to me, one that stands out in front of most others. She made a decision to handle a most risky situation in an highly unusual way. She approached an armed with the intent to bring a potentially horrendous situation, involving others, to and end. And, without violence. She made a decision. She placed herself at great risk. She chose to chance saving another supreme grief. His thanks to her was to severly wound her and eventually cause her death. He deprived her husband of a wife and her children of a mother. For this I hope that he plunges into the depths of hell...forever. To Officer Mary Lynn Beall I have only honor and respect. By her actions, by the words of her children in other messages, and the words of her friends I know that we, as law officers everywhere, have lost a sister who was not only courageous, compassionate, caring and simply trying to do the right thing, but she also bore children who spout not anger and bear vengeful hearts, but rather they only seek the approval and love of a mother they truly long to have contact with once again. This alone tells me that Officer Mary Lynn Beall is a hero among all other heros. She represented law enforcement and she represented it well. To her I render a final salute. To her family I render deep respect and great honor. Her husband appears worthy to have had such a wonderful wife and her children appear worthy to have had such a wonderful mother. I feel that already their prayers have been answered as Officer Mary Lynn Beall, the loving wife and caring mother, resides among them.

I like to think I am one of the "tough guys" but I felt sick to my stomach when I read Ofc. Beall's story. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. And to the officers she served with. Rest in peace, Blue Sister.

What a disturbing and cruel outcome! You served proudly and came face to face
with evil. Sometimes you get the bad guy and sometimes he gets you. My heart goes out to your families. I know you are deeply missed.

Mom-
You are the reason I have always worked so very hard. I think of you every day and wish you could have been there for my proudest achievements. I know you are watching, and I hope you realize how much you taught me in the little time we had together. I will watch over our family just as you would have wanted. I miss you, love you, and cannot wait to see you again one day.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

It's been five years now, May your family and friends be at peace and remember the good times you had. Even though short on this earth, you have got to have a wonderful place in heaven. What a loving and caring, brave woman you must have been to do what you did. I am sure you are missed by everyone who knew you.
