Reflections for Police Officer Crystal Deneen Sheffield
I just want to say how much Crystal will be missed. I knew Crystal when she worked in the Catering industry. Crystal was always most charming, pleasant. She was the epitomy of professionalism. May her soul rest in peace.

God bless you Crystal. You have given the ultimate. Smile down on us from heaven as you wait for us to come. May we live up to the standards you and other officers have set. Know too, that your family will be loved forever in the hearts of us all.
With deepest respect and admiration, always.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Ofc. Crystal Sheffield. Law enforcement can be difficult, to be a female in law enforcement take an extra special woman. From one female officer to another, walk the streets of Heaven proudly and watch over us all.

I saddens me to hear of another Officer down. We just lost one of our own so I can imagine the pain your brothers and sisters of the Baltimore City Police Department are feeling. I take my hat off to all of the brave Officers in your department because I know your agency faces the most danger of us all. God Bless and thank you for your service.

My deepest sympathies to the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Sheffield. I truly feel your pain, and no word describes it better than PAIN. My youngest brother was killed in the exact same manner, not three months ago. Today they're together, along with so many other heroes who have sacrificed their lives for us and others. There is "no greater love," and no doubt their reward is more wonderful than we can imagine.

As I move into my career in law enforcement, I'm continuously reminded of the inherent danger of the duties. Nevertheless, I continue on, drawn to the duty as you were. Thank you for your service Officer Sheffield, and to your family, all of the comfort that God has to offer. We'll continue the watch as you reap your reward in heaven.

IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT FAMILY HAS LOST ANOTHER MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AS WELL AS THOSE OF MY FELLOW SOLDIERS HERE GO OUT TO OFFICER SHEFFIELD AND HER FAMILY. A VAST NUMBER OF PEOPLE AUTOMATICALLY THINK THAT POLICE OFFICERS ARE JUST ANOTHER JOB THAT IS DONE FOR 8 HOURS AND GO HOME, THOSE OF US WHO KNOW THAT IS NOT THE CASE THAT EVERYTIME WE LEAVE HOME THERE IS A CHANCE THAT WE MAY NOT RETURN. BUT WE CHOSE THIS PROFESSION FOR A SIMPLE REASON AS I AM SURE OFFICER SHEFFIELD HAS, AND THAT IS TO PROTECT FELLOW CITIZENS AND HELP THOSE WHENEVER POSSIBLE. OFFICER SHEFFIELD PASSED AWAY WHILE RESPONDING TO ASSIST A FELLOW OFFICER. I AM SURE THAT SHE LOVED HER JOB, HER FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN BLUE AND DIED DOING WHAT SHE LOVED DOING. GOD BLESS YOU AND WILL SEE YOU AT YOUR NEW POST WHEN THE TIME COMES.
