I was stationed with Chuck at Barksdale and at Al Jaber. I was in the Services unit working at the Red River Inn, and lived a few doors down from him in the dorm. He was a friend and is still missed.

I was in the grocery store yesterday and while walking through the aisle with olives, I was hit with the smell of your cologne. Nobody was there, and it only lingered near the olives. I instantly flashed back to the picnic you had made for me. You told me you asked your mom to send green olives because I loved and missed them and they were impossible to find in Kuwait. In the short time we had, it felt like a lifetimes worth of love. 24yrs later and I still think of you almost daily. You’re missed ❤️
