WE LOST ANOTHER ONE. I HOPE THAT ONE DAY WE WILL BE LOOKED UPON AS THE FIREFIGHTERS ARE. LIKE HEROES. WE DESERVE BETTER. WE PERFORM A THANKLESS JOB BUT YET WE CONTINUE TO DO OUR DUTIES. GOD BLESS ALL OF LAW ENFORCMENT AND THEIR FAMILIES. AND GOD BLESS YOU RANGER. WE WILL MISS YOU AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. REST IN PEACE BROTHER.
Socrates spoke of love and its many forms, but the greatest love of all, according to him, is “Public Love.” Public love is that love which one person shows for his community and for mankind. Ranger Kris Eggle has shown the greatest public love of all. He has given his life so that each and every one of us may live in peace and freedom.
We take our comfort from his life's example and pledge to carry the torch that he has passed on to us.

You have earned life eternal, because every day you stood on that thin blue line and said, "no one will hurt you, not on my watch they won't". Your family should know that those of us who stand that watch were lucky to have you in our family too. May God Bless you and those who loved you, and worked with you.

There is no words to express the grief we are feeling at the Park Service right now. Two dedicated officers from two divisions lost their lives within hours of each other. Officer Farthing and Ranger Eggle worked on different sides of the country but shared a common bond-that they died protecting Americas treasures. God bless the US Park Rangers and US Park Police, the law of the land.
