Your heroism and service is honored today, the eighty-sixth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my cherished son Larry Lasater who was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Hello William:
You don't know me, you died an untimely death many years before I was born, but I feel like I know you. I'm glad we got you on here. We lost 3 officers in the county in 3 months. Glenn was murdered in FEB, then RL died and now Ken died last week. They can trade stories with you and you can all watch over us.
The service you provided to Avery County is heroic and still greatly appreciated. There are a number of Burlesons in law enforcement in Avery and Mitchell Counties.
Whoever ambushed and murdered you in such a cowardly manner has to face God for this despicable deed. You are now one of St. Michael's deputies. Thanks for your service in a different time, when lawmen had to live by their wits and by being a crack shot with a revolver. Rest easy brother.
