Resy in Peace.

June 7, 2006

Reading about you breaks my heart, I am from Clarksville and have always wanted to return home and be a police officer. You have inspired me with your sacrifice and I wanted to know that although I didnt know you personally, I do appreciate very deeply the sacrifices you and your family have made for whole family of Clarksville. Rest in peace. God Bless you.

Baez,

It seems only yesterday I remember you always coming by our room at the academy and shutting our door when we weren't looking. I know you're up there keeping watch. You will never be forgotten. Rest in peace brother.

Yamil, Its been 2 years now and I still miss you the same as I did the day I found out you were gone. I wish I had been able to work with you, and to take the ride along you said you would give me once you got off of FTO. You also told me I could even come work with you when I finished my reserve officer training. Well,it is 2 years later and now like you I am extremely proud to be a Clarsksville Patrol Officer. You were an ispiaration to me, in everything I did. All the time we spent working together at the prison, in the National Guard and the time we spent going to the same church made me realize just how much I admired you. Now as I enter my own FTO phase, I go into it remembering a great friend colleague. God bless you 202C.

I did not know you yet I wanted to serve with you.
I did not meet you yet I felt we would someday.
I followed you to the academy,
I followed you to the street,
I am now the patrol officer you wanted to be,
But God had other plans.
As I patrol the same streets where you did,
As I talk to the same people you once spoke too,
I will remember your sacrifice in my heart and try to live up
to your expectations.
On the advent of our Saviors birth, the first Christmas away from your family, remember in Heaven Yamil you will never
be forgotten by your fellow Clarksville Officers.
Rest in Peace. We have your back.
A Patrol Officer in Clarksville TN

YAMIL, YOU WILL FOREVER REMAIN IN MY HEART. Words cannot describe how much you are missed each day. It has been been 1 1/2 months since you were just taken from us and it still feels like yesterday that we were together joking, laughing and talking about pursuing our long awaited dreams at the police department. You were my mentor , my dear friend. Now you are my inspiration in life and in the line of duty each day............... TA' AMOS!!

I had the honor of knowing and working with officer Baez, he is a great man, father, husband, friend, and officer. Only 16 days on the street and God came to take you away, sitting in court with you that morning I never thought that it would be my last good bye to you. I know that you are now in a better place, and from Heaven above you protect us every day on the street. You are in our thoughts everyday, and we will never forget you.
