Reflections for Patrolman Daniel James Clark, Sr.
Clarkditty is what I call him. He was my training officer and he was my friend. My attention is always glued to the spot where my friend had his accident. Everyday that goes by my heart mourns your lose. Thankyou for backing me up out there on these evil streets we patrol. You always had my back and kept me focused on what I was doing at all times.
And just to let you know. Trickey Dix and I miss you like crazy. Thankyou for everything that you've done for me. The big things and the little. And the little things matter the most.
Much love Clarkditty.
We will always be 10-8 , 10-41. And I'll 10-72 With you in heaven.

danny was my friend and was like a brother to me . when he found out i had made it into the police accademy for mobile he gave me a gift . it was a maglight that he had used for several years as a security guard. i still use this same maglight every time i go on patrol.as long as i keep using this maglight he is still out there with me fighting crime and lighting my way to safety.danny and i grew up together and all he ever wanted was to be a cop. he started out working as a reserve deputy. he was not worried about getting paid he just wanted to do some good and make it safer for people to live here.when danny was hired on by prichard it was the greatest thing to happen to him next to his son being born. danny always talked about his job and how he loved it.now he is on permanent patrol . he is watching over all of us . danny you will be missed but never forgotten.danny i promise that your son will know all about you!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sent a chill down my body as I read the events that led to Officer Clarks accident. Every day we respond to back fellow officers up with one goal - to protect THEM from harm. Officer Clark gave his life doing that. Officer Clark, his family, friends, and fellow officers are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for helping keep all of us safe!

I know what you faced, and know how crazy things could get in a moments' notice: and I know you did your best. God bless you and your family, one day we will meet and we will have rest, our badges shiny and our hearts at peace.

I hate to say this but this is the first I've learned of the unfortuante and most untimely death of my young brother officer. I work probably 60 - 70 miles from Prichard and found this by accident. Its such a shame that there isn't a better network for notifications when such unfortunate things like this happen. I have lost many a friend within the last few years and it never gets any easier. My prayers are with your family, friends and co-workers Daniel. You fought the good fight and are honored for doing so. To Mrs. Clark and your child, there are no words that can comfort you I'm sure. Such a tragedy to overcome. There are people there for you mainly C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors). You need the support they can afford you. Call me in Montgomery and I'll put you in touch with them. God Bless you and keep you.

Daniel...i never knew you but i saw the impact on my friends who went to the academy with you. You were a true inspiration. They loved you with all their heart, and when they heard about it on that fatal night it devastated them. Daniel....may God be with you.

Dear Law Enforcement Family,
I do not know you but I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you are going through. I am the wife of a police officer and I pray each night that my husband comes home to me. His last words to me before he leaves for work is, “I love you and I’ll be home.” I pray he is able to keep his word.
God be with you and your family.

I only knew of Officer Daniel Clark, through a family member I am friends with. I was told all about him and everything he used to do for this one family member. My heart goes out to the whole family, mainly his baby. When I found out about OFC. Clark's death I was on this website, it was about an hour later when I found it my friend knew him. She told me who he was. I remember talking to her trying not to cry. But I could not help it.
OFC. Clark, you are in a safer and better place, patroling to keep that safe. You now have wings along with the badge. Rest in Peace, Sir.

Officer Clark and my husband Officer Dix were very close friends and worked in the same areas. My husband talked of him very often. He always said how he had no worries because he knew "Clark" would be there to back him up!! That is one good thing about Prichard Police Department, the officers always have each others back!! I had only met Officer Clark a couple of times, but if he left the same impression on others hearts as he did my husband I know that we will not be the only one missing him!! I could not begin to imagine how his wife and family feel. I do know that my heart goes out to his wife!! This is your worse fear when your husband leaves for work every day!! The people who have jobs like our husbands have hearts that have no bounds. Officer Clark swerving to miss that vehicle is a prime example how highly they place others lives above their own.

To the family and co-workers of Patrolman Clark, I offer my condolences.
