Reflections for Marine Deputy Thomas Ernest Rice
To Josephine County,
Know that your sister/brother counties understand your grief and are supportive of you.. Please don't feel that cuz we are Portland that we are not feeling for your loss.
As you may or may not know, we are dealing with a loss of our own too. We do understand how hard it is.
I personally, give thanks for the valor and courage for these 2 men to do right, when so many choose other. Their deaths are not meaningless. Just really another true testament on those of us that give of ourselves for the better of all. They did not die in vain. They died true heros. And to that those that knew, helped, and were family of, can be proud of.
To the rest of us, be stong, be safe, and remember to tell those that you love, how much u do love them daily.
