JIMMY I MISS YOU SO MUCH, AS KIDS WE WERE ALWAYS VERY CLOSE AND ALWAYS FINDING WAYS TO BE TOGETHER, ALL EIGHT OF US WERE LIKE BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND WE WERE ALL VERY CLOSE. YOUR SMILE YOUR LAUGHTER EVERY THING ABOUT YOU KEPT OUR FAMILY SO CLOSE. YOU WERE ALWAYS THE ONE TO BRING US TOGETHER AND KEEP US THAT WAY. THIS IS THE HARDEST THING IVE EVER DONE IS TO WRITE A PIECE OF MY FEELINGS DOWN FOR OTHERS THE READ. MAYBE ITS A WAY FOR ME TO REMAIN VERY CLOSE TO YOU WITHOUT YOU BEING HERE, FIRST IT WAS ROBERT, AND I DIDNT THINK I COULD TAKE LOOSING ANOTHER BROTHER, AND THEN IT HAPPENED, BUT NOW ALL I CAN DO IS KNOW THAT IT IS GODS WILL AND WAY TO HAVE YOU BOTH IN HIS ARMS. I WILL ALWAYS THINK OF YOU AND LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU COULD HAVE EVER KNOWN YOUR IN MY HEART AND ALWAYS ON MY MIND. THANKS TO EVERY ONE THAT HAS VISITED THIS SITE AND LEFT THERE WORDS OF PRAYES FOR US THE FAMILY WE GREATLY APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH AND IT IS A COMFORT TO SEE. I WILL SEE YOU SOON BROTHER AND COUSIN I LOVE YOU ALWAYS

To Jimmy and his family:

I was Jimmy's platoon Sergeant in the Army. You could not expect more from anyone than what he gave as a soldier and a patriot. Jimmy was a high class guy who I could call on to get any job done and done right. I know I am late with my response but I didn't even know about this site. Jimmy was an outstanding young MP and Soldier. My condolences to his family and his close friends. What a waste to lose someone of his caliber to some scum of the earth. Jimmy you were one of my "Band of Brothers" and I miss you.

God has got a good man to help him!

CPT Harry Munsey

I worked with Jimmy at the Swan Creek District Office. Jimmy was always happy and he knew how to cheer everyone up.

Jimmy was a great officer and friend. He was loved by his department and friends. Rest in peace brother!!

Officer J. Webster
Hartselle Police Department

I will never forget Jimmy's spirit for his job and for life. A little of it rubbed off on all of us who served with him and we will carry it with us for rest of our lives.

Officer Tim Ellison

To a good friend and officer: You will not be forgotten!

Jimmy will ALWAYS be in our HEARTS!I LOVE YOU JIMMY!

To Jimmys Family

Thank God He no longer has to see the mess on this earth, but if by chance he can "Jimmy you are missed and thought of often".

For old officers you learn that just because someone walks in and says he is one of us that does not mean they fit in. Only a rare few are met and belong instantly and Jimmy was and will always be a part of our lives.

I was lucky enough to hear from his friend in South Alabama "Buggy 1" what kind of man and officer he was before he got here and she was straight up about Jimmy.

The first day I met him, He felt like a little brother and fit in at once at what I call "the funny farm FPD". I loved talking to him and exchanging stories and working together.

When I heard he was here I found him at his house unloading boats and 4-wheelers and he had time to stop then and talk and always did. It was not uncommon to hear the radio call "102 I am about to stop a car and I need to borrow your ticket book" and of course he did OFF DUTY IF IT WAS NEEDED. Most of you know in a rural area the more the better so I invited him to call anytime which he did but I always raked him over for not waiting until I could get there, but he would just laugh and thank me.

Jimmys loss was personal (loosing a good friend) but will never be put completly into words. The few years he was here he became friend, fellow trusted officer, and great asset to our county. I know no words can help the family replace him and if I could I would.

Please always tell his child how much he was respected, loved and trusted amoung other officers and that he always spoke of his family.

Now my friend PEACE is so hard to find and as God really teaches us not to be obtained on earth even though we all spend our lives trying to. Enjoy your peace......you have earned it and your friends wish it for you and your family. Leave the crud for the rest of us to deal with but don't forget to save me a fishing spot on the Crystal Sea and look for us when it is our time. In Loving Memory Jim

My heart goes out to Jimmy Hutto's family, and those who worked with him as well.
Another good man down, and for what... doing his job!
All I can say is, hold your head up high and be proud that he died doing a noble job and is now in a much better place than you or I.
God will not lead you to something without leading you through it!

I knew Jimmy when he was a narcotics investigator with Enterprise P. D. and I was an Alabama state narc. Jimmy was a very good police officer, and I knew if I needed help Jimmy would be there, no matter the time of day or night or where I was. I'd lost touch with Jimmy over the past few years as we went our separate ways. I found out about his death after his memorial service, but wish I had known in time to attend.

I know that Jimmy is in heaven now, with that silly grin he always had on his face. I know we'll see each other again someday.
