Reflections for Fire Marshal Ronald P. Bucca

My son is currently serving at Camp Bucca. I'm proud of him just as I am of Fire Marshal Bucca. I'm sending him the information as to how his camp got it's name. God Bless

There are but two persons who protect the sinful human race from destroying itself. One is God's Holy Spirit. The other is the Peace Officer. Without them, we would all perish at each other's hands.

You were called into this profession and our Lord and Savior has blessed you because:
According to Romans 13.1-5...
God ordains the Peace Officer’s profession.
The Peace Officer is sent by God.
The Peace Officer is vested with God's authority to enforce the law.
A Peace Officer's badge is to be honored by us, because God honors it.

You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for your fellow man, while serving, defending, and protecting others in your community.

Thank you for your service to America. Your efforts saved thousand that horrible day.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends.

Fire Marshal Bucca is the first line of duty death for a fire marshal I have seen. If this is correct the fire marshals have been blessed of God. But if others of this service have paid the ultimate price, may God forgive us and may we all work to correct this. These men are as much police as they are fire fighter and they deserve to be so honored. Let Ron Bucca and the tragedy that took him be a reminder of this.

Coming from a family full of FDNY members, I was the black sheep of the family, becoming a NYC police officer. My uncle, Capt. Walter Hynes, Ladder 13, made the ultimate sacrifice also on September 11, 2001. I could never be prouder than to be part of both the FDNY & NYPD family, true heros, not only on September 11, but always.
To the Bucca family, your tremendous loss will always be in our hearts and in our prayers. God Bless.

Our lives have forever been scarred by the actions that took the lives of our heroes. The death of so many has put our hearts through so much grief yet so much admiration for our brothers and sisters across our country. We are so very proud of the heroism and dedication that was displayed by the courage to just do your jobs. Each shift that the badge of a firefighter is put on or the badge of a police officer is put on - you are putting your life on that thin blue line. Your sacrifice was large but your heart was so much larger. As tramatic as this is for all left behind, we will endure this race, conquer the evil that exist and be victorious for your sake.
