After recently conducting family tree research, and confirming with relatives, I learned that Deputy Boice was the sister of my great-grandmother, Edith Boice. This finding is very significant to me, and my family, as I am a police officer, along with my little sister, and my father is a retired police officer, all in Washington State. I am humbled to be a relative of fellow LEO who lost their life doing this job, and I thank you so much for service and am saddened I never got to meet you.
