Reflections for Chief Sergeant W. H. Riley
I have another thing in common with one of my dearest friends... both of our Great Grandfathers are here. Definitely not a happy thing, but we have families who believe in service, in doing the right thing, and I'm so proud of both of you.
Your descendants are awesome, many are serving our country, That's your legacy. I'm going to remember your birthday, btw, that is a happy thing.

Chief Sgt. Riley,
On today, the 75th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Oklahoma. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement than that of a Corrections Officer.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 68th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Rest In Peace.
