Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Deputy Sheriff Amick,
On today, the 73rd anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Scott County. It took another four months, but one of your murderers finally got the justice that he deserved.

As part of my assignmnt in Mandate School we were given and fallen Officer name to research then bring to read in class. I was given Deputy Sherrif Harold Amick and would like to say it was an honor to do this and reflect a moment of silence for such a fine Officer and a gentleman.
