Reflections for Assistant Chief Robert Henry Potter
This is about my grandpa "Bob". I am his oldest son, Bruce's daughter. It is truly an honor to know he is still remembered and honored by those that knew him and those that only read the articles about his untimely death. The memorial at the Swisher County museum is very well displayed. I never knew my grandfather but I am proud of his service and the sacrifice he made both as an Army veteran and as a police officer. He may be gone but not forgotten.

I went to school with Bob's oldest son Bruce and younger son Danny. Bruce was devastated by his father's death. We have a memorial to Bob in the Swisher County Museum. His daughter and granddaughter still live here in Tulia

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I was saddened to see that Christmas Day is the eow for so many, many officers. Rest In Peace.

Bob, It has been 46 years since the night you were killed. But, I will never forget how my parents (your friends) cried as they share with me your death. I think about you often and remember how Tulia suffered such a great loss on that night. Thank you for protecting and serving until the end.
