I was just six years old Dad, when you were taken from us in '65. I remember you well and still have a love of the outdoors. When things get stressful, I still want to go fishing. Vickie and I are taking care of mom now. She so wants to be "home" with you. I have always been so proud of what you did. I love and miss you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
