Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 120th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I think the pardon of your killer after his serving a woefully inadequate sentence was a travesty of justice.

On this the 116th anniversary of your death your sacrifice and service are remembered.
Rest in peace as you patrol with St. Michael and all fallen
heroes in heaven.
Your story marks the passing of time, and it marks the sacrifice you gave.
I am glad to read that the history of those fallen will be preserved. It is difficult to understand why your killer would be pardoned after your death that would of been a terrible loss to your family and the police agency. In the
account of the incident it appears the murderer stalked and
ambushed you. A cowardly act in anyones day.

I thought I'd let you know that we've started to save the History of the Ft Worth Police. Sgt Kevin Foster has been working to make sure every Officer from the PD who died in the line of Duty is remembered. We're building a Memorial for the Officers and Fireman,,hard to believe we still don't have one in 2005. Others Like Ret Sgt Dale Hinz and Cpl Jim Houck are doing all they can with me to preserve and save the past. There's a lot of History there and you are at the front of it. You have never been forgotten! The line of Bravery exhibited by you has continued to this day as we watch and pray over another Officer Gunned down in the Line Of Duty this very week. Watch over him!

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003). Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend recently. Deputy Jeffery Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

I want to honor all of those who gave their life in the line of duty. Although your death was many many years ago, you are still a hero.

God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....
