To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 68th anniversary year of your death. . Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Trooper Knapp

You were always like a Father to me. My Father had been serving in the military because of the War and you were there to take care of my family while he was gone. You were always there if we needed him. You were the male figure while my Dad was gone. I remember the day this happened and will never forget you.

Here it is, 62 years after you were taken away from your family, and they still have a whole in their hearts from missing you. There was over a dozen family members who gathered to remember and honor you at Tribute Weekend this year; you will never be forgotten!
