Your heroism and service is honored today, the eighth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for the solace of all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. You must be proud that your family continues your legacy of protecting and serving.

Rest In Peace

Hey Al, just stopped by to say hello. I was cleaning out the basement and found all the clippings I saved from 8 years ago this week. I read through all the articles and it brought back a lot of memories. I cut them out and saved them in my memory box. It was just like yesterday. ..still miss you brother. - Sam

Went to the bus terminal and the cementary today. Had a few beers for you, for me, and for (and with) your boys. Eight years have come quickly and I haven't forgotten where I was when it happened. Unlike Kennedy tonight after he introduced himself to the white birch tree and had no clue where he was. Like it was said today those who were there should remember and reflect and those who were not should not forget.

Thinking of you and all of your loved ones today. Continue to keep watch over all of your loved ones, let them feel your presense so they know you are near and protecting them. You have not been forgotten.

Major McGregor, today marks the 8th anniversary of the tragic event that left so many people devistated. In reading the reflections left by friends and family, it is easy to see what a decent, caring and overall wonderful person you truly were. There would never be so many words of sadness if you weren't.

My heart and prayers go out to your family, friends and co-workers at the East Providence PD on this sad day. They obviously miss you and I'm glad they all have each other to share a moment, a story and a shoulder.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

My heart and prayers also go out to the officer who fired that shot. It's something that could have happened to any one of us as none of us are perfect. I don't know for sure, but I can't help but believe that Major McGregor has forgiven you. Every indication is there that he was that kind of a man.
