I am actually a 13 year old male, I am doing a hero project for school and I was searching around and heroes of 911 popped into my head so I searched that up and all that showed up was men. I remembered that it was International Women's Day so I changed heroes of 911 to Female Heroes of 911. I came upon this page and saw that a woman named Moira Smith was the only female officer to give her life on 911. I read this page and saw what she had done and it brought a tear to my eye so I just want to thank her for her service and every other officer out there in America and the world.

I will be walking with your picture around my neck this Sunday, 9/11/16 in your memory and your honor at the 15 year anniversary remembrance 3rd annual silent 9/11 walk in Charleston S. Carolina. May you never be forgotten. I have read your story and was amazed at the hero you are. I hope you bless me as one of my guardian angels as I continue throughout my own law enforcement career. I am almost to my 17 year mark in my career as a Deputy Sheriff and through the rest of my career, your picture will remain with me at all times. I hope to represent you well. ThinBlueLine

Officer Smith and the Family of Ms. Smith,
I am deeply encouraged by your actions, and know you would have said "i was doing my job. " I am a nurse, and see the aftermath of urban warfare. Your actions were so typical of all agencies in NYC and NJ that sorrowful day. All personnel went above and beyond. And they now reside in God's hands.
When we start to value life as our higher powers do, we will finally begin to lessen human suffering, instead of causing it in the name of our God. No God condones the atrocities committed by Al Queda, ISIS, and all other extremist factions.
Officer Smith gave her life for her family and the innocents killed by madmen. With no thought to her own safety. Probably knowing it would end in her death. I am in awe of her as a woman, mother and wife. A regular person in the most irregular of circumstances. Salud. God Bless.

I wear a hero's bracelet everyday with your name engraved upon it. I think of you and your family each day. May the One who holds you now hold them close each day and may they feel your spirit with them as they continue on until you meet again.

I was looking at photos today, and one showed your badge and citations. It is very moving to see that it is now on display. I will make it there to see one day, and I know I'll lose it emotionally. I wanted to say you are remembered and the world will never forget.
