Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Jason Schwartz
My thoughts are with all of your loved ones on this day. Continue to keep watch over all of them. So many lives destroyed because of two individuals who cared about themselves. They are both were they belong and I hope they never see the light of day again for the pain they have causes so many. You are a true hero and heroes never die. You will never be forgotten.

Jason, I still think about you often, most days are just something small that remind me of you and the fun we had together, other days are tougher. But I do know what you sacrificed for all of us. You will never be forgotten.
I can only imagine how much little Jay is like you now...If he reads these reflections he will see what you were really like. All the fun, the true love you have for law enforcement. Your true dedication to your job...I can remember many a times that you spent more time washing and waxing your patrol car, and organizing all your paperwork, and buying thngs to make it look better...True love,,,lol
Forever in my heart and memories.

Although it has been 10 years since you have past away i think about you almost every day..Whenever i accomplish something great i wish that you could be here so i could tell you all about it..but then i think about how you are probably watching me and every step i take, i have had some bumps in the road but overall i hope you are proud of me. Everything i try and overcome you are my inspiration. You are my true hero and role model in my life, and i love you so much and miss you terribly. We will be going up to your crosses tonight, no matter how many years go by, it doesn't get any easier. i love you dearly Uncle.

Deputy Schwatz - Last Friday, on a very rainy morning, I stood in the State Assembly chamber when your name was one of almost 250 others read off during a motion regarding next month's Police Memorial Week. You are not forgotten. Next May 15th we shall wear our mourning bands in memory of you all. Thank you for your service to the people of Fremont County and the state of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

I too saw the show on NAT GEO! I am disgusted that they would give these two animals a single second of air time-it makes me sick! Jason, when I travel to D.C. this year I will think of you, I will make it a point to reachout to someone from your dept and say hello....RIP

I just seen your killer on a National Geographic television show. He is a sickening excuse for a human being. I only hope you know now that your story will remain with me and hopefully other officers will be saved after learning of your tragedy.

I came across some photos we were all in while in the police academy together. We had a lot of fun especially during law enforcement driving and the firing range. I can remember you almost broke my ribs during CPR training and I still have the scar on my right eye from your elbow during PT training. We worked closely together during your time in La Veta and I was crushed when I heard about your murder. It was really hard to finish my shift. Such good laughs we had during the academy and memories to last a life time. Rest well Jason...

A deputy was shot and killed where I live yesterday on the 8th anniversary of his death. I have no doubt that you were there with him to take him home.

My Brother 305, You are not forgotten. 8 years goes by but you still remind us of your friendship, spirit and sacrifice. I'm a day late, working graves, but Brother J, We are sending you a new partner. On your anniversary Deputy Brian Etheridge of the Sedgwick County SO in Wichita KS was shot and killed in the line of duty. Jason take him in and show him the streets up there. His friends speak highly of him and he will be a good partner to you. He left behind a wife and young daughter as You left us to watch over Sheryl and Baby Jason (not a baby anymore.. you would be so proud.) To all that have shown love and support to Jason and his Family, please extend that love to Deputy Etheridge's Family and leave a reflection on his page.
We miss u still Bro and watch over your family vigilantly

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 8th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I hold your family in thought and prayer today.

Jason, although I never met you I think of you often. I responded to Fremont County to hunt for your killers on a very sad night for everyone in Colorado. I travel to Canon City often to visit family and ALWAYS think of the selfless sacrifice you made for all of us when I take that faithful exit from 115 to 50. You, my friend and brother will never be forgotten. God Bless you and your family.
