I guess your life was worth what ever the governor was paid under the table to let that dirt bag out of jail.
You died in the line of duty and there is no greater example of honor.

On Monday May 13, 2002 Marshal William Petersen was honored by having his name added to the wall of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington DC.
As no living members of Marshal Petersens family could be located, I along with three other officers of our department made the journey to Washington to honor him and his supreme sacrifice.
Rest in Peace Brother Petersen you are forgotten no longer!

Like those of us today Marshall Petersen was only trying to protect his community when he was gunned down by a coward. Although gone almost eighty years we now honor Marshall Petersen for his bravery and devotion to duty. His earthly body has long since withered away but his spirit is flying yet today in glory that no man can take away. God bless him and any and all of his family then and now.

A long time gone, but not forgotten, rest in peace.

I am sickened to see my fellow Brothers and Sisters fall. Even more so when a politician condones the murder of one of my Brothers or Sisters by pardoning the murderer. You are not alone, Brother Peterson, you have many fellow officers behind you who will stand up for you and for what is right.
In loving memory...

It is ashamed to have to admit, but not much has changed from 1922 to today. Officer's are murdered and mother's and father's must bury their children and cry. Only to see a bleeding heart politician release or reduce the criminal's sentence.
