Reflections for Master Sergeant Stanley W. Talbot

May God bless you MST. Talbot.

Your death greatly affected those who worked with you that night. We will never forget your larger-than-life personality. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

19 years.
So much has changed; the world didn't stop.
So much never will change; hearts still ache, tears still fall, emptiness remains.
Yet, despite the loss you- your memory- still bring smiles and laughter.
You live on.

Stan, worked with you and laughed with you, and was very saddened at your passing. You were the first officer ever, in my rookie first call for assistance, to back me up. And a few times after that, just in case I needed assistance, even after you had gone to plain clothes investigation. Miss you.

Where has the time gone? I visited the Police Memorial several years ago and located your name. This brought a flood of memories rushing in------------R.I.P my friend.

I just read about you today, and I wanted you to know you are not forgotten. You died trying to protect US from drunk drivers.

I am even more sad and angry that the Offender only only spent 4 years in prison.

Your life was worth a hell of a lot more than that.

Please watch over your brother Officers and your son, who I read is on the job.

God speed

I traveled to Washington DC for the National Police Memorial Events. I stopped by and saw your name. We left an ISP patch next to it and took a picture for your Son and Daughter.

I came by to say hello from my family. My dad, Larry, think and speaks of you often. With Bruce Hall passing last week, I'm sure the Miller and stories were flowing.

Stanley,
Just a note to let you know you are thought of frequently and the good times live on. Dennis and I got together in May and along with the cigars and Miller Lite came the "Stanley" stories. You meant so much to so many people and that still continues.
Rest in Peace my Brother Rest in Peace.

Just wanted to stop and leave a reflection on your page...

Yesterday your daughter came to support my son as he graduated college with his Criminal Justice Degree... like your daughter... my son is following his father's footsteps into a law enforcement career... It truly meant the world to us all... Although I never met you... I believe that you met my husband as he did an internship with your department a year before his death... that connection was felt...

Thank you for your service... and your daughter's service... and continue to watch over us all...

Stan - So many times I have thought about you. Many times I have seen your name on the Law Enforcement Memorial at the State Capitol. You were always so kind to me and a great friend. There has never been an officer like you. I have mentioned you many times to new officers that I had met at my store. Thanks for being a great friend. Miss you.
