4 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; 5 it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends

Officer McDonald, thank you for your service and dedication. You will be missed and never forgotten. May your family, fiancée, and everyone who loves you stay strong in the memories and love you shared with them.

I lost my fiancée, Scott Stewart, in August of 2002. There not a day that goes by without him in my heart and mind. I understand the pain your fiancee must feel from being ripped from you to soon. The support and love from others who know my pain have helped tremendously.

To your fiancée, if you ever feel the need to reach out to others who know your pain, please contact me and other s/o’s. A search on yah groups will bring you to us. Just enter the below as it is.

Always remember as long as your heart beats Charles will be with you. He’s there everyday in your heart.

Hugs,
Monica

I truly am sorry to hear of the loss of another fine Officer. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love...someone whose life is dedicated to helping others.
Next week will be a year since Wayne was killed in the line of duty. Nothing seems to make sense and the pain is overwhelming. There is no comfort in knowing others have suffered the same loss because everyone of these losses is painful. However, we can lean on each other and the Police "Family" for strength, love, and support.
I have to believe that Officer McDOnald is with Wayne now and together, with Heaven's other Officers, they watch over and protect us from above. God Bless.

Terry Macias, Retired
Cleveland Police Dept.

Sometimes when an officer is not killed in the line of duty by a "bad guy" he doesn't get recognized by his dept. or maybe citizens as someone who died "in the line of duty. But it is a reality that police suffer a great deal of stress in many aspects of serving the public. The constant stress, training and expectations take a great toll on a body. As far as I am concerned and other supportive officers we know that no matter how an officer died he died serving and needs to be honored. I pray that Officer McDonald receives an honorable funeral and his family is supported

It sounds to me like Charles is a true AMERICAN HERO!!! I can't imagine your loss. People don't think about HEROs like him if they don't get shot. But to me Charles is one of my heros. God Bless his family and co-workers. If you ever need to think of Charles look to the sky and he will be near the "brightest star" God Bless you Charles

Charles I love you like a brother and think about you everyday. You were a great friend and a great street cop. You have left a huge hole that will never be filled. If any good has come from your passing it is that we now have an Honor Guard that is really taking off. You would be proud. Semper Fi my brother.

Charles was one of the greatest guys I had ever met in my life. Not only was he a great officer but a wonderful friend to all he encountered. He was always there to protect us and take care of us, even as teenagers. You will be deeply missed my friend. Until we meet again, my thoughts of you will keep me going. Thank you for all you ever did for me and my sisters.

Charles,

Happy Birthday, Honey. I miss you more everyday. The only consolation in your being gone is that I know you are in heaven. Even in your passing, you have brought new friendships into my life. Thanks for sending Linda, Angie, Tammy, Grace, Mandy, Jen and Crissy. We are all trying to make the best of each day, learn from our pain, and raise our families the way you guys would have wanted us too. We know that Heaven has one of the best PDs around with you all at roll call!!

I love you, baby.
