Reflections for Police Officer Ryan Jay Cunningham
From the first day of our academy to the last, Ryan was a friend, a brother and above all, an example. He is missed by all who knew him. I am a better person because of the spirit he carried with him, and shared with others. He was called to serve at another place. Ryan, thank you for standing tall and being the man you are. God be with you 'till we meet again.

I was born and raised in Vail for 18 years. I have seen Ryan patrolling around Vail and it is a terrible tragedy to see him go and have to leave his family behind. Im sorry about this incident, it is still a shock to me to hear about a fallen Officer I know, and was out there protecting the town I grew up in.
Thank you Officer Ryan Cunningham
Sincerely,

I pray for Ryan's daughter, who will grow not to know her father in the flesh but to love him, and for his wife, who will raise their precious daughter without him.
I pray that all survivors will have strength...on June 7, 2001, I lost a magnificent friend, Corporal Joseph Cushman (Joey) of the Arlington PD in Texas. The pain of losing someone is unbearable and I am so, so sorry...
May God give you peace.

Thank you for being such a wonderful son. We are so very proud of you. Even though we will be separated from you for a short period of time, your spirit will remain in our hearts and minds forever. On May 6th the Heavens opened and THE BEST entered in. Love ya the most, Mom & Dad.
