I remember that day as if it was yesterday a rainy miserable night. Officer Rainford and myself were in the 2700 block of N. Charles st. when the Sig 13 officer down came out for 25th and Harford. When we arrived to the scene it is something I never will forget.

Its been a month since Mike was killed. For all the Officers on the intiative it still hurts more and more. Funny how he will never be at roll call again wearing his hat the way he did. God Bless You Mike.

Mickey,
It's about to be a year since you've been gone. There's not a day that goes by where I'm not thinking about you. I miss your laugh, your voice... I miss YOU Cousin!
I can't say it gets better or easier with every passing day, but just thinking of your grin is enough to me smile!
I wish you were here.

August 16, 1999 we watched our first sunset together at Loch Raven Reservoir, it was there I named you Cookie. After we watched the sunset we took a long drive and you put in a Frank Sinatra tape, I said to myself " what in the world".You were just as happy and content snapping your fingers. I sat quietly listening to the words, and then my foot started tapping to the music. That was our favorite thing to do. I miss that so... Every night I'd ask the dispathcer to have 4A34 call the hot desk (your unit number). Remember when you bought the Xterra, every time you got in you'd kiss the steering wheel and say I LOVE MY TRUCK, and you'd have that grin on your face all I could was laugh. Remember our first snow storm. You, Monica and Charles picked me up. It was so much snow you fell right on your face we all laughed so hard. And remember your 31st surprise birthday cookout I gave you, all your friends where there reminiscing on stories and Charles joked you about the time you all were riding your bikes on the bike trail and you fell. You told Chuck you couldn't breath and he said, "yes you can because your talking to me". I rushed over and took you to the emergency room. We all were in tears telling that story. I could go on and on, story after story. We shared some beatiful special moments together. I miss you, I truly do and I LOVE YOU Michael Joseph Cowdery Jr., Mickey, my Cookie. Love Pippi
