Hello Daniel, I had the opportunity to stop by at the site of the accident yesterday, 4/2724. I took my wife and young son with me as it was a very important day for us to visit the location.
I was privileged to have you assigned to me as my Silent Partner. I was happy and amazed on how many of your love share their beautiful memories of how Great of a man you were.
I continue to carry you on my left breast pocket since the academy, Class 1228-A. You are always with me and I appreciate you.
I left one of my BP hats and my class coin on the site. It will not be my last visit. Thank you Daniel for helping me getting through the Academy.

Miles, I have been thinking of you lately. I am teaching at FLETC now and saw your name engraved on that marble statue. You were a kind man and helped me through the academy so long ago! I wouldn't be here without your help. I thank you. God Bless you and to your family!

I visit here often just to try to grasp the loss of my son. Today was no different. Except that while hurting inside, I decided to see what this day was like in history. I came across your EOW. Now that I’m the President of West Texas C.O.P.S, I see things a bit different. To honor my son on a daily bases, I now honor you and others who have given the ultimate sacrifice. I pray that your family finds peace and know that we are now all family. Thank you for your service. We’ll be here for your parents, siblings, coworkers children’s, spouse and another’s whom are effected by the loss. You honored your county, now we’ll remember and honor you forever. RIP

Miles, I periodically reflect on how much it hurt to see your kids right after you passed away. I feel that I should have been there or not had traded those work days with you. Somehow, as your journeyman and good friend I feel I failed you and your family. I carry your Fallen Hero/Silent Partner card with me every day at work. Continue to rest easy and I know you have my watching over me from heaven.

Miles. I'm sorry it took me so long to find this page. I'll never forget being at the checkpoint when we heard you had lost the struggle. I had the honor of lowering the flag. I think about you often and you will always be an inspiration.
Melinda - I hope you are doing well. Whenever I think of Miles, I think of you and the boys also. May God bless your family always.

I still remember the phone conversation on January 28,2001. Talking about coming down to Freer Texas. I still remember the telephone call on January 29 while I was at work. It broke my heart to come down there and see you at the hospital. Was so mad with God to let this happen. Then I realized God kept you going so I could see you. Love you always your dad.

Miles: I'm sorry I am a few days late with this reflection. I retired last July after serving 31 years as a LEO and I showed your photo at my retirement luncheon. Why? Because I wanted you to have a retirement luncheon too. I will always remember you and pray for your family each and every day. I miss you. RIP my brother.
