To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

My father Asa Duke Mullis III served as an officer with the Office of Special Investigation in the USAF. I quess he was carrying on the family tradition. Currently he is enjoyiong his position as courthouse security in Panama City Beach.

Needless to say I didn't get away with much growing up......

This officer was my grandfather who I never knew. His son, Asa Duke Mullis, Jr., who was my father, was killed Sept. 1935 6 mos. before my birth. I would liked to have known both of them.

I saw them putting up the memorial for you and the other four of our officers that we've lost. Know that you will never be forgotten.
