Reflections for Police Officer William Davis Mitchell
Rest in peace Officer Mitchell.
Rabbi Lewis S. Davis
June 1, 2019
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 109th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Your sacrifice was made so many years ago. Evil was, is, and will be a part of life just as goodness such as yours will also be present.
Rest In Peace

I drive often thru Waco often, and I pass the Texas Ranger Museum all the time, I think that Museum stands for all Texas Peace Officers, and now that I read about your sacarfice, as I take that drive thru Waco I will remember your name and know that you kept Waco safe during your watch. You will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace
