Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Albert Anderson
I was born and raised in Ferndale, MI. Upon graduation from FHS in "73" I enlisted in the USAF and after my 4 year stint, I became a police officer in Minnesota.
I never knew until today that an officer had been killed about 4 blocks from my house where I grew up. I was saddened learn, while going through papers from the Ferndale Historical Society, that Deputy Albert Anderson was shot and killed. Deputy Anderson, your life was taken away much too early, now over 100 years later.
May you rest in peace, you will never be forgotten.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
