Little Johnnie was the name we grew up calling you. From the comments I’ve read about you, your dedication and determination hadn’t changed. GeeGee and J.J. shared the same thoughts along with a few stories from our childhood. Thanks to your brotherhood for the lifelong dedication and memorable landmark that we can always visit in remembrance of you. #ourlittlebrotherfromadifferrentmother

Hey John, it's been nearly 19 years since that fateful day. I think of you often. I hope you know that you mattered. You took a part of me with you that day. A part that I don't think I'll ever get back until I see you again. I know you're at peace and loving heaven. I know you're saving a spot for me. I love you brother.

John was my brother, and my protector growing up. He was the greatest person I have ever known, and I miss him every day. I wish he were here so that I could give him a hug and tell him I love him, and he was the best big brother any girl could ever have. Love you Johnny

John. I was so very sorry to hear of your passing as were many others you served with. It was a pleasure to serve along side of you while we were stationed overseas out in the middle of nowhere. You were always the best of us and I often think back on those times and smile. Rest in peace my friend. My thoughts are with you and your family.

John, There hasn't been a day that goes by that you aren't remembered.
I will never forget January 9th, 2001 at 2:45 PM. I lost my best friend.
For so long, I blamed myself for your death. I know you asked God to relieve that burden and remind me that I wasn't God and that it was his choice to take you. He needed a good Trooper in heaven, so he took the right one. I know you watch over me every day. Thank you so much for being a part of my life.
On January 9th of 2014, I will be having a surgery. 13 years after you left us. I just ask that you continue to watch over me.
John, I love and miss you each and every day, brother.

John, I still remember those Sunday nights in Patrol School when would talk about our families and getting through the 28 weeks. It's a shame that your time came to end so soon before you aspired to greatness. We have truly missed out on you making a difference in the Patrol. I would see your patrol picture up in the cadet classroom and just smile at the memories that members of the 99th Basic Patrol School shared.

Take care brother, Dave
