Reflections for Police Officer Kilonzo Musili Masembwa

Your District I family will never forget you nor that awful morning when you left us. Rest in Peace and watch over us all.

Brother Masembwa,

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Respectfully,
You’re Brothers in Blue

We did not know you, but think of your sacrifice with gratitude. Our hearts go out to your family always, but especially on this anniversary of losing you.

I got to know Kilonzo a little while we were in the academy, because I knew he was a guy I could learn a lot from. I tapped him for information to learn whatever I could because he was always so squared away. He is an assest I know this department will miss. Even in his passing I am still learning from him.
