I've been thinking about all of you as of late. Wondering where everyone has ended up at this point in time. It goes by so fast, but there are always those people and things that stick with you no matter where you go, what you do or how you end up. YOU guys will always be those folks that are like that in my life.
For the few short years that we spent around each other most of the time, life was great. Life is still great, and was glad to hear you say the same. I came across this by trying to search for you Andrew on fb. Such real people you all are. I hope our paths will cross again.. I love and miss you all.

Man.. its been quite some time since Ive graced your page with my writings. Haha. ;-) I will turn 35 this March. Weird.. 4 years on you and Todd I will have. A lot has obviously happened over the past 13, almost 14 years. I say almost 14 cause soon as we know it. I try not to get caught up in it to much, but honestly I cant help how my mind works nor how much I miss you guys.. but so many times I wonder how things would be if you guys were still here. MAYBE some could possibly understand that, but there are only a select few people, that really KNOW what I mean there. Ive seen SO many changes in myself, people, and just life period. Ive taken all the mistakes Ive made, you made, Todd and Dad made, and on my way to turning all that into a positive way of life. And Ive came to the conclusion that things happen FOR us, and not TO us. And thats not just some quote, thats real life. Nor is it being selfish. I wish nothing but the best for everyone. Life is good..Life is really good actually. I got my ticket punched a while ago..Haha..Talked to Michael Landon and everything. Highway to Heaven style. :-) Ill be seeing you guys sooner then we know it. Then... we all can have fun together. Tecmo Superbowl I would assume, with McDonald fries and a coke. (Even the fries and coke have changed from there. Better be old stlye upstairs) Haha. You guys will still get beat. I wonder if Mom, Dee Dee, Fields, and Beth will get bored watching us play there. No..probably not. Hahaha!!! 8`s and 99`s all around! All the time.. man...
Love you guys,
Andrew

While I lived in the Grove, I would run through the neighborhood where it all happened. I would stop and reflect at the house on Fletcher. Sometimes one of my sons would be with me and I we would stop and bow our heads. I will never forget you Bill. God watch over Dee Dee and the girls.

Still thinking of you often. Gone way too soon. We all miss the morning joke of the day. Pray that Dee Dee and your daughters are doing well. They are surely proud of the man you were and how you died protecting their freedoms. Rest in peace brother.

We will never forget you Bill. It has been a hard week with another policman in Indy being killed in the line of duty. Your friends and family will always cherish your memory. Dee Dee and the girls are more beautiful than ever. They are being taken care of by a wonderful friend of yours. Thanks again for keeping us safe. Always remembered.

Bill Toney was a fraternity brother at Sigma Phi Epsilon (Indiana Theta) at Tri-State University (Trine). He enjoyed his motorcycles! One weekend around the spring of 1988, I gave him a ride from Angola, IN to Beech Grove. We had a great road trip traveling down I-69. By coincidence, I met him again several years later at a local comedy club. We spent some time catching up. When I learned of his death, it really hit me. Rest in peace, Bill.

I still think about you often. I can still remember our days in high school. I will also never forget how excited you were when your dream came true and you became a police officer with Beech Grove. Can't believe its been 12 years already. I speak of you often to my own kids as to the type of person you were. Our Heavenly Father has and continues to watch over and protect Dee Dee and the girls. So rest easy my friend.

Sitting here writing a paper for my political science class on the death penalty. No better place to start my paper than the place that changed everything for me, being a juror on this case. Still brings tears to my eyes all these years later knowing what a wonderful person that was taken that evening. It is great to see all of the memories live on here on this site. It is truly touching to see what an amazing man he was and how many people still come here to post comments. Hope and pray all of the family is doing well.

I met your daughter today at a school event. I was in uniform and she asked me if I know her dad. I said "I might, what's his name?" She replied "Bill Toney, he was shot in the line of duty." We had a very nice conversation. She spoke very highly of you and still very proud of your name. I told her that I was working that night when you made that ultimate sacrifice. I remember the call come out over the radio. It's something I will never forget. It's nice to know that you have a wonderful and respectful daughter. It was an emotional yet inspiring moment I shared with her. Thank you.

Another, year, someday soon Bro, Amazing how long, yet so many people your life touched. Heck, they still play softball in your name. Imagine that! Btw, I broke my son into Jimmy, this year, I took him to Buffet in Detroit, dressed him up like a pirate, and had a blast. I remember late nights, when you said that you just wanted to matter, well Bro, guess what, you mattered.... A lot!
