Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Carlton Daniel Jenkins

Dan was a fine officer and a good man. He has been sorely missed by all who knew him.

Deputy U. S. Marshal Jennifer Armstrong

It has been a year since you were taken from us. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you in some way or another. We held a memorial service for you today, I know you heard that special something I silently said to you. I know you are watching over us and I feel you there. I have not and will not forget the things you taught me and those great times we shared, especially the "Get My Car! car chase". Please continue to watch over us and guide us. I love you and miss more with each ending day. Thank you brother!

Lt. David Gregory
Camden County Sheriff's Office

Dan it has been a year and i miss you pulling me over to just to say hello and see how the kids are. Even though you are gone you are not forgotten. Not a day goes by what i don't think of you. You are missed more than you could ever imagine. I still wish i could wake up and it be a bad dream that you are really alive and out there in your 10-80s you seemed to love to get into. But you are gone and for that i am ever saddened. For I lost a good friend a year ago. Dan I miss you and i hope you are happy where you are in heaven, for God has him another angel to help him protect heaven. I know you are there by his side, but it still does not take the hurt away. You should still be here protecting us, but your number was called and nothing no one could do about it. You was a true hero to a lot of people looked up to you. You are truly missed.

You know it's funny sometimes,I remember meeting you when I was only nine years old, back when you still worked for Kingsland Police department. I also remember my Mom and Dad Calling me on the phone to ask if you were 1111. I asked why, they had overheard the commotion on the scanner, and they jumped out of bed to make sure it wasn't true. Then the day of the funeral I seen all of the different departments and Officers who had traveled so far to say goodbye to you, it gave me cold chills. I knew you were Smiling down on us.I'll never forget you and I can only hope that my boys will be as good of a man as you were. 1111 Will Live On ALWAYS
