As a new year begins I sit here looking up at your picture on the wall at “THE OLD HOUSING BASE” on Lamport blvd. It is now home to PBSI Evidence Collection Unit and your Auto Larceny Unit. Many years have past since that terrible day. We think of you often. Rest in peace brother

John
Can’t believe its been 20 years since you are gone. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. Love and miss you so much. Thankful for all the good times brothers have and memories that are still fresh in my mind. The boys have missed out on having your presence in their lives but are doing well. Please continue to look over us and protect us during these times. If there is a way to get rid of DeBlasio and Cuomo we’d REALLY appreciate it. No doubt you see what they’ve done to NY.
Love you brother.

Hi uncle john, I had a dream about you two nights ago. Even though it made me sad I woke up with a smile on my face. I wish you visited me more often. I was so young I don’t remember much but the memories I do have are great ones, which makes me miss you that much more. I keep your prayer card in my visor and take you with me everywhere I go, like a guardian angel. I think about you often. I feel like I could have learned so much from you. I know you’re watching over everyone but I really wish you were here. Xo

Dear Uncle John,
It's me, your niece. Even though we never got to meet I feel like I know you so well. My dad,Mike, tells me any story about you he thinks are really good ones. My brother is named after you, and his name is John Michael Kelly in your honor. I love and miss you very much and I hope you are OK with grandma and grandpa up in heaven. I will think about you every day and I hope you're looking down on me too. Sean is in college and Chris is in his senior year of high school, and you would be so proud of everything they have accomplished. Chris is also driving now and so is Sean. We all love and miss you every day and you be in our hearts forever. You would never be forgotten. I will see you there one day, but for now I'll stay here. I LOVE YOU!

From the day we met, there were always so many goodbyes, and than somehow we always came together again. And that last time we came together it was our best times,, We had so many memories to reflect upon, and both just needed a friend... Not a day goes by that I don't think about you, I forever keep you alive by telling people our story (and it was an amazing story). that day will be with me forever. It was the last time I would see you or speak to you and I cherish that everyday. It was our last goodbye until we meet again. My ❤️ My Angel.

Feeling a bit nostalgic today. Wish you were here to see how much the family has grown. You have a million nieces and nephews now. I just wish they had the pleasure of meeting you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the tenth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for the solace of all those who love and miss you for I know both their pain and pride are forever.
