I miss you and love you forever.

Your never really off duty she tried to look past these individuals so as not to put her own friends in danger with an immediate confrontation and she lost her life in doing so. She is a hero in every way that word indicates, what a lost of a great human being, what is wrong with the world we live in.

Hey Shynelle

The cousins and i went out for my b-day last nite, I really had fun just being around family. your badge number fell in the lotto the other day, NO one won it, but I cant complaint I don't play like that any way. I should have tho, cuz I've been going through some things this month and my birthday fell twice within two weeks, then your badge, felt like you we're trying to tell me something. Crazy right. I love you and miss you always.

Shynelle there are no words to express the emptiness i feel when i think of you not being here. You where one of the most caring, sensitive , loving pple i have ever known. I will forever cherish the memories I have of you. Your family has always been in my prayers , I know how much you loved them and I know you are watching over them. I know you hear me when I talk to you. I think of the last time we talked and I saw you and sometimes I laugh. Those memories will be with me forever. Even tho time has passed and years have followed i have never and will not stop thinking about the wonderful person that God created. I get teary eyed when thinking of you but then at the end of the tears become smiles......

I rode past the house on Coyle yesterday it brought back so many memories.I really miss you cousin, 11 years and it still feels like yesterday. I know you welcomed my mom into heaven that brings a smile to my face. Because if I can't have her here with me the next best place is with you and God. I love you cuz continue to watch over me until we meet again.

Hey Shynelle
So tomorrow is the day, huh. Can't believe it's been 11 years. Your face, your smile is so fresh in my mind its incredible. The plan we worked out has been in slow motion since that day 11 yrs ago, afraid of going forward. But I will continue to follow your smiling face in the right direction with our family support. Miss You & Love You Always!

Hey Shynelle
Not a day goes by without me thinking about you. Following in your footsteps keeps me on the right track. Courtney n Shynelle are the best, even learning different languages. So much I want to say, so many questions not answered. We'll be talking forever when we meet again, but until then I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

To the family and friends of Officer Mason, just wanted you to know that you are not the only ones that remember Shynelle. Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I can tell that she was a wonderful person, just by the posts that you leave here for her...she was a very lucky woman to have such wonderful people in her life. I was here leaving a note for Shane Britton, EOW 07-19-00 and wanted to leave a reflection here as well to let you know that I was thinking of Officer Mason as well. They both gave the ulitmate sacrafice the same week...I remember well when the news of Officer Mason's shooting came out and Shane said what a shame that someone would think that it's okay to retaliate against an Officer that was just doing their job...protecting the citizens of Detroit. Then we lost him a few days later in an accident responding to a call for service, I know in my heart that Shynelle welcomed him home to that big Department in the sky and that all of these Fallen Officers are protecting the streets of gold now today, waiting for each of us to come home as well. Please know that as the 10 year mark approaches I will be thinking of your family and saying a special prayer for all of you as well. I've had the pleasure of meeting some of you at the MI-COPS Christmas events and am truly blessed because of it! RIP Shynelle and know that you will NEVER be forgotten.
