Wow, only if we could share every memory and every smile that she left behind. In 21 years she showed us more love then most of us could do in a lifetime. We miss her and we will always love her!

Here one minute and gone the next
Wishing we could communicate via mail or text
Not being able to say good-bye was very hard
If I knew that day was coming, I would have given you a card
A card that lets you know how I feel about you
A picture that captures the moment, whether it was old or new
I'm happy to report that you lived your life just as planned
From the house to the job and being able to lend a hand
You were always there for me and I thank you everyday
I know that you are listening and can hear every word I say
I will never forget the sound of your laugh or you learning how to walk in high heels
Who knew I would have to hold on to the small memories, it just don't seem real
I keep the memories with me, small or big
Even the memory of hearing your family call you, Pig
I know that you are in a better place But sometimes I wish I could just see your face
Just keep smiling and watching over your good friend
Missing you always, until we meet again!

Four years ago today Officer
Shynelle Marie Mason
lost her life in the never
ending struggle for justice.
Her senseless murder is a reminder to
all who serve of the dangers law
enforcement officers face each
and every day. Although crushed
to the very heart of our souls
when one of our brothers or sisters are
lost we are also inspired by their
courage, service, and sacrafice.
All of our shifts today are dedicted
to Officer Mason hoping in some small
way this will bring a sense of
peace to all who knew and loved her.

Only GOD can express the pain one feels in losing a precious being such as Shynelle Mason. One thing I would just like to remind her loved ones is that their baby is with GOD now. Many of us forget that through our greiving sometime, but Shynelle is still living on through the Lord, listening to all the funny stories her family speak of about her laughing in eternal happiness. May GOD bless her soul, her family, and her past co-workers as well. I to am a police officer, so I know the dangers that we face both on and off duty, and when things happen such as what happen to our lost sistah, we must simply honor her and her courage as well. My God bless all law enforcement, both past and present.

I to am an officer and I know you have probably heard this many times, but my heart is with Shynelle. Shynelle is with GOD now, and she is smiling down on you guys. Just dont forget that she is with the LORD and there is always a way to think of her through GOD. My deepest sympathy and may GOD keep us all safe in the environment in which we live today.I live in NYC, but if there is ever anything that I can do, send me an email. I did not know Officer Mason, but I extend my deepest condolences to her family, friends, and co workers at the Detroit P.D.  It is truly a sad day when a police officer cannot put gas into her personal vehicle without being at risk.  It is this type of incident that illustrates how much risk a person must be prepared to take when becoming a police officer in the 21st century.
