"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal;
love leaves a memory no one can steal."
-- Supposedly from an Irish headstone
Dear Robert -- In four days it will be sixteen years since you were taken from this life. I have loved and missed you every one of those days. I have both laughed and cried over memories of you. I pray that you can look down upon me and somehow let me know if you feel that the choices I have made in your absence are good ones. If you can let me know, please don't be subtle. Allow the message to hit me over the head so that I'll have no chance of missing it!
With love,
Linnie

Buzz, you have left us on this earth, but you live on within our thoughts and prayers. I still remember that day as I was the last one to see and speak to you as I wished you a great weekend ten years ago.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the tenth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

One week from today will mark the 9th anniversary of your passing. I'd never seen this website or these memorials prior to today. How fitting that I should discover them now. My heart still aches. The tears still flow. I will never stop missing you. You were such a fine, loving, caring man and I am so grateful that you were a part of my life. You were always there for me, in good times and bad, and I will love you forever.

An Angel In The Sky Must Leave His Place Of Rest,
Gently Tucking His Wings Beneath His Armored Vest.
For Duty Has Called, There Is Much Work To Do.
Little Did He Know, This One Is Dressed In Blue.
Arriving On The Scene, He Knows Just What To Say,
"Follow Me, Fallen Brother, I'll Show You The Way.
Your Duty Has Ended, Your Work Is Now Through.
Come Hang Your Hat Beside Mine, I'm A Cop, Too."
I would like to thank Robert for his service, when one is harmed, we all feel the pain. As I near retirement I sincerely wish he had the same chance.
Blessings from USPIS Badge #3942 to his family and all those who loved him.
