Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

You were the featured officer when I signed onto ODMP tonight and wanted to visit your page and leave a reflection. I know the daily struggle your loved ones face as they travel thier journey through life without you.
Especially your parents because as we all know, we as parents are not suppose to outlive our children. I know they would trade places with you in a heartbeat so you could be here to be with your loved ones. Continue to keep watch over all of them and those still on patrol. Hey You,

I got some great news today. Emily got her driver's permit today, you know she turns 16 today. Can you believe it? My baby is Sweet 16, It just makes me sad. She took her driver's permit and she made a 100% on it. I wish you could be here to teach her to drive. Just joking about the teaching part, but I do wish you were here. We have celebrated her birthday all week. I am so proud of her, Jason she is such a good girl you would be so proud of her. She is such a young lady. I just love her so much. God was so great to give her to me. I just worry about her. Ever since you have been gone, I just worry about her driving, I don't worry about her so much as I do watching that other driver. I really believe that she will be a very good driver. Well, I have gooshed enough, but I do have one more thing? CAN YOU PLEASE WATCH OVER HER, YOU ARE OUR GUARDIAN ANGEL AND I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!

Hey Jay,

It's me, I am still missing you. I wish you would come home, you have been gone to long. I know you are in a better place, but it is still hard. We are all doing good, Danny is still losing weight, he is lost 28 pounds. I am so proud of him. I think I am gaining his loss. Oh' well I have been feeling good lately so as long as I feel good I don't care about the weight. Danny will always love me, he told me so. He is so good to me and Emily. Of course, Emily is going though her teenage years, so she does get a little sassy sometimes but he does not back down from her. All in all she has been a great kid, I am so lucky. I can't is a sophomore this year,she will be 16 in her words 55 days. She isn't counting or anything. We are taking her and a couple of friends to Pigeon Forge. I think I'm losing my mind. I haven't seen Hayden in a few weeks, I did see him at the old Capitol last Friday night, but he was to busy to speak to me. He is growing to fast. He looks so much like you, he such a cute kid. That sissy of his Hannah is a mess. She tells Mom that she doesn't like her. She knows it bothers Mom so she keeps doing it. She loves Daddy (Papaw Mouse). She just loves to tease Mom, just like Hayden always teased me. I saw alot of your friends at the Old Capitol last Friday night, they always have music down there. Jack Kennedy is in a band he is the lead singer. When I see all your friends I always wish you were with them. It just doesn't seem right you not being with them. I just love those guys, they always give me a hug. I wish you were here. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't talk about you or think about you. And anytime I see one the KVE Officers I always talk about you. If they are new on the force. They always know who you are. They have heard all about you. And make sure no one forgets you. You are just unforgetable. Well, I have talked enough, I always talk to much. But, I can't help it. I just want you to be here so I can talk to you in person. I love you so much, you will never know. Jay, I am back in school. Things are going pretty well. My babies are all in school now and that is so hard to believe. I want you to watch over each a nd every one them. I think Hannah believes she has a "dead" daddy too, in her words,of course! She sees your picture all the time and says that it is "daddy jason." She told someone the other day that her daddy had died.
Hayden is starting to look so much like you it hurts. Your lips and body structure.Even his cute little nose, which I thought to be from me, looks more like yours every day. He will be a handsome man some day, just like you were. He has your funny personality and attitude too. I am proud to raise him for you, but wish you were here with me to help.

Our Precious Jason, We have just spent the day with Hayden. It is so wonderful having him here with us. We took him to watch Ryan play t-ball and that is always so sweet to see. You will be glad to know Ryan will be signed up for the first time to play soccer this fall. We can hardly wait. I know how proud you would be of the kids to know they were in soccer. Jen also told me Emily will play for the girls at FHS. This would have been something for you to see. Andrew is playing in a baseball World Series this weekend in Tenn. He is eat up with baseball. To Jason's family, I found this while looking through some papers. It was a poem that a now retired KVE officer wrote the night before Jason's funeral. You may or may not have seen it.

KVE has lost it's first'
Jason Cammack has gone away.
He will be so sadly missed,
For his family, we all do pray.
He was a Son to Mom and Dad,
To Christa, he gave his best.
To Hayden, a loving father,
And a friend to all the rest.
An Officer with Vehicle Enforcement,
Where he served us for two years.
While working late one April night,
He left us all in tears.
What happened we may never know,

Another Mother's Day without you my Sweet Angel. I spent the day with you on my mind and in my heart. I got to spend the day with Jen and Gayle what a beautiful day we all had. Hayden came to see me later in the day he was telling me all about his birthday party at Mr. Gattis last night he had taken 3 of his buddies from school. I am so blessed to have a wonderful family and to be able to spend so much time together. We miss you so much. I am so thankful I have so many wonderful memories of you to help me get through each and everyday.

7 years...I still get sick to my stomach when I think back to that night. I no long dispatch for KVE, but I'm still in the same room with them. So whenever I hear dispatch trying several times to make contact with an Officer, I pray that it hasn't happened again. I was praying so hard that night for you to answer me and that everything was being over exeggerated, but it never happened.

I can say, you left me with a special memory what a proud Daddy sounds and looks like when talking about or showing off his little boy. You were the proudest Dad I've every seen.

I STILL MISS YOU LIKE HELL!!! WHERE HAVE 7 YEARS GONE? IT HURTS AS MUCH TODAY AS IF IT HAS JUST HAPPENED. I ALWAYS WONDER WHAT YOU AND HAYDEN WOULD BE DOING TOGETHER. WHAT KIND OF TROUBLE THAT YOU ALL WOULD BE GETTING INTO. I KNOW IT WOULDN'T BE GOOD. I KNOW YOU. AND YOUR SON IS JUST LIKE YOU. THE OTHER DAY IT HAD SNOWED JUST A LITTLE BIT AND THERE WAS A ENOUGH TO MAKE A SMALL SNOWBALL AND HE SAID AUNT JEN I WANT A HUG AND KISS BYE, BUT OF COURSE THE SNOWBALL WENT ALL OVER ME. SHE DUSTED MOM'S WHOLE HOUSE ON SATURDAY AND MOM LOVED THAT. AND SHE HAS BEEN GETTING TO SCHOOL ON TIME SINCE SHE HAS BEEN THERE. SHE IS SO FUNNY, AND SHE REMINDS ME OF YOU SO MUCH. SHE IS RUNNING TRACK AND I LOOK OUT THERE ON THE FIELD AND SHE STANDS JUST LIKE YOU DID. SHE WANTS TO PLAY SCOCCER NEXT YEAR, AND I TOLD HER THAT IS WHEN YOU STARTED PLAYING, SOPHMORE YEAR. SO SHE IS REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THAT. I HOPE SHE WILL LIKE IT. SHE LOVES TRACK. GAYLE HAS STARTED GOING TO CHURCH, I AM SO GLAD. WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO TODD LESTERS CHURCH AT THE FORKS. WE REALLY LIKE IT. MOM AND DAD ARE DOING GOOD THEY MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY, LIKE WE ALL DO. JUST THINK NEXT MONTH YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN 34 YEARS OLD. DANG, THAT IS OLD. WELL, I GUESS I STILL HAVE YOU BEAT. DANNY IS LOSING WEIGHT HE HAS LOST 18 POUNDS I AM SO PROUD OF HIM. I WAS REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HIM BECAUSE OF HIS HEART. HE REALLY LOOKS GOOD.
