16 years today big bro. Can't believe it still.......You should be here with us waking by our side each day and watching your kids grow. I think of you every day and tell as many stories about you as I can through the years to help you memory continue to live, grow, and inspire others. Thank you for all you have done for me in my life and helping me become the man who I am with your ultimate sacrifice. The world would have been a better place with you in it and I know heaven has been a lot better since you've been gone. Love you big brother and always will.......

Nearly 14 years since you were taken from us brother...man, I wish I could have been there for you. I remember that goofy smile, and all of the questions you asked me relentlessly. I never minded. Your thirst for knowledge was impressive, and your work ethic outstanding.
You were a tremendous young officer, devoted father, and a great friend. Your memory has carried on with us, and we will never forget.
You are greatly missed George!

It has been 13 years since you were taken from the OPD family. As I listed to the news of yet another OPD officer shot during a traffic stop today in the news I immediately think of you and Eddie.
That night was like a blur, hearing the words from Eddie over the radio, the activity in the call center, over intercity, the mobile command center being set up while they look of the suspects.
You are gone but not forgotten

I remember living in Florida at the time and hearing about this on the news. It was so close to where I lived and I couldn't believe that type of crime could be committed in my home area. I always remembered that incident and looking on this website allowed me to find the officer and reflect on this. I remember the killer being arrested. A young boy maybe in his teens??? Senseless. Can't believe how much time has passed and yet so quickly. This officer died a tragic way and much too young.

Life has moved on, but your memory remains constant. I smile at all the fun we had, and the brotherhood. In spite of your declaration, "George don't run!" - we sure caught most. You're not forgotten, and we miss you.

George, I will never forget working patrol with you at Ft. Myer. I wish to God, that I could have been there for you that night in FL. I cant express the helpless feeling and anger that came over me 12 years ago when I got the call. I will never forget the birth of my son on the day of your memorial and the choice I had to make about where to be. I'd like to think you would have agreed with my decision. Thank you George for your friendship, your service and for your ultimate sacrifice...You are missed but not forgotten.

George, your mom and I became friends when I met Mr. King, your squad-mate's dad, at the 2001 Memorial to honor his daughter, Tanja, killed the night she came home from DC. He told me about you and and your family.
I told Mr. King to tell your family that I would look after you here in DC and to know that I would remember your Birthday and EOW. During Police Week, I ensure there are flowers there from me to you and your family.
May you Rest in Peace in the gemtle arms of The Lord.

We were in the same training platoon in basic training. You could always make the drill sergeants laugh and smile with your awesome personality! We got married on the same day in different places, but ironically honeymooned at the same place! We didn't know that was happening until we ran into each other the next day! I still remember the day that I heard your name read out on the news in Tampa. I was in the other room, and came running out only to see your smiling face on the television and the story of the horrible news being read out. You are a great man, and one of my many heroes that live forever!

George: It was a coincidence getting hired on with you at Orlando. Your wife was my HS buddy back in Jersey. Who would have thought. Your badge was 577 and mine was 578. Both of us New Yorkers working in Florida. (LOL) Even though I am no longer with the force, I think of you and reflect on that night. I was comming off-shift as I handed you the keys to the patrol car you used after I topped it off with fuel and ran it through the car wash around 1130 PM. Its crazy how routine our lives become only to discover that you were slain the following day. Since then I'm back in the Army. I train my men and prepair them for the worst. I will never forget you my friend. Your family is doing great. I know you are at peace and I will always remember you. It was an Honor serving with you as a friend and trusted collegue....So I'm off to Afganistan. Wheels up Feb 2012. My final deployment. Wish me luck. I will be thinking of you and keep your family in my prayers as I keep mine too. Put in a good word for me up there with St Pete, just incase brother...Thanks :)

Big Sal. We served in Korea together in '95-'96. I just so happened to decide to google your name to see if I could find you & I'm met with this sad news. You were a good man- one who loved his family and one who was a great & loyal friend. I'm blessed to have known you and to have had you as my partner in Korea. I'm sad that you're gone. Your memories will live on (I have tons) and you will be forever missed & loved. Happy Veterans' Day, Soldier! I love you bro.

George I met you only twice, once on an off duty job(parking cars at a church) and another on a trespass call. I was working the NW sector that night, we prayed and searched for those $#@% all night. I still pray for you and your family. Wow time has flown by, may God bless your wife and boys
