Peoria police department officer Barrett as a relative of a dedicated family to service and religion in Peoria, Il you were a hero and it has been not only most of my time and effort it seems to be my life' s work to find every murderer and those willing to kill a member of law enforcement in the line of duty not only have my efforts been successful more than a few times for you this officer my work will continue.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 103rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
