Shawn, I said a prayer for you and your Mom & Dad today at Christmas Eve Mass. The picture of you next to your scout car that your Dad gave me still hangs in my office. You and Dickie are thought of often.

Paying my respects to Officer Bandy. It is good to see so many officers from the DPD still visiting this officer's memorial. God bless each and every one of you - be so very careful out there. Thanks to all of you for the sacrifices you make every day. I can't think of another career that requires the use of a bullet proof vest. I'm sure I speak for many when I say you are truly appreciated. THANK YOU.

It is approaching 6 years since your sacrifice for all of us to live free and safe from harm. It should be known that your friends remember your desire to help others and man that put others first before himself. May GOD bless you in your new journey.

Your were the first officer that I had to wear a mourning band across my badge for and it deeply saddened me to hear of your untimely death. I had reservations in my mind about the job after I heard of your demise but I thought to myself that your probably wouldn't have changed our profession for nothing in the world, so therefore, I am still serving. So rest in peace my fellow brother in blue. Your watch is now over. 10-7
