Sgt.Cotter- i second the motion. My family was living in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland when this happened close to Independence Day 1998, the day my son was expected to be born. Det. Clark and his family lived in the same neighborhood and attended the same church (Our Lady Of The Angels). I was so affected by this senseless loss that i wanted to name my son after Det.Clark in order to honor him. I was overruled by my other half. His loss haunts me today, I will never forget.

Love you, same as when we were kids, as when we were adults still laughing like we were kids, same as the day you left is. Love doesnt die. You, the beauty on this world you left behind, that's the purest love, and it lives on each of us.

Dear Rob
Well I honored you on your anniversary of leaving us by doing things you loved. I went to an auction just like you and I used to do. I miss you every day but there is no changing what happened. I wish you were with us to see your family and enjoy them. But I will keep the faith that you are floating around watching over us. I miss you little brother and still love you more than the sun; moon and stars
Love your big sister

Thank you everyone for remembering Rob in so many ways. Please pray that this violence toward the Safety Forces will come to a stop around the country. My heart broke when I lost my beloved son in the line of duty & my tears still come as if I, hear anyone mention his name. So many other families are suffering as their love one fall protecting society.

Dearest,
Today is hard no matter how many years past. I try to remember the great times we had with you and the wonderful laughter. You were taken too young, but we cannot change that.
I wish you were here to talk to and see things with friends and family. I try to remember all the things you taught me in life. I look up at the stars and try to find the ones you used to point out and find those shooting starts you always looked for.
I love you no matter how many years go by.
Your Big Sister, Mary

I was an medical intern in the emergency room the night you were brought in. God bless your family. They were there in so much sadness. I prayed for you and your family and thought about your three little babies over the years. I have not forgotten your sacrifice or that night.

It's been a long time now but, I still remember being 8yrs old the day of your funeral like it was yesterday and how it made the world stop in the neighborhood...I found and read the old Plain Dealer clippings on the internet quoting fmr Cmdr. McNeely mentioning your fun sense of humor drawing cartoons at the, 12555 Bellaire Rd. Bellaire Gardens Estate Neighborhood Mini Station. I'm proud to say I'm assigned to that estate and to know I fight where a warrior fought is a true honor. I now know why it doesn't ever feel like I'm alone out there. When I walk that estate I know I've got God over my left shoulder and you over my right watching my back. It's still the "wild wild west" at least on certain days and according to the few remaining old time residents one said he knew you as, "Red" and when your name Ofc. Clark was mentioned it brought on a smile from a better time. It was a name they hadn't heard in a long time but they hadn't forgotten you or your good work done at that estate some 20yrs ago. Thank you for your service O' faithful servant. You genuinely left a extraordinary legacy and it does live on and it will continue. Let's keep runnin' em' out!

Hey Rob, Long time since 10G/H, eh? I'm in your old cottage and just told two youth a few shorties about some of our time together in your old room in Crossman Cottage. Berea surely misses you as does Cleveland. You did a bunch in such a short time on this rock to make it a better place. In God's Grace you remain.
