As the second anniversary of Chris' death approaches (June 5) Chris' dad and I want everyone to know how much all the love and support shown to us these past 2 years has meant to us. We just attended the California Peace Officers' Memorial in Sacramento (our 2nd time), and once again, seeing Chris' name on the memorial is just as hard to see as it was the first time. We are not going to Washington, D.C. for the National Memorial this year, however. My heart will be there for all the "first year" loved ones, because we surely know how it feels.
Chris will be loved and remembered forever. What a son; what an officer; he is and will forever be our own personal hero.

Janie & Steve,
I want you to know that I still think of you and Chrisopher often. Everytime I drive on Hwy. 67 and pass the sign dedicating that portion of the road in his honor I say a prayer for you. God bless you...
