You were a light to this young rookie Tony. I always respected the way you would stop, no matter what you were in the middle of, and give your full attention to us noobs. It was sincere and left a lifelong impression. I try to give people the same full attention. You were never dismissive. It meant a lot. It was and still is heartbreaking to lose you the way we did. The sun has been a little dimmer ever since. Rest in Peace & Love.

RIP Tony. True warrior until the end. I was in BSTF and had to go to KCH for security. Off duty cops were showing up from all over the place to the hospital to see how you were. I never saw someone with so many friends show up at a police shooting before. You were loved and respected by your coworkers more than you will ever know. True warrior.

I never saw someone with so many friends show up at a police shooting before. You were loved and respected by your coworkers more than you will ever know. I met your brother when I was transferred to Staten Island. If you were anything like your brother you are truly a brave fearless man. I will always remember that horrible day even though I didn’t know you.The men showing up at KCH for you was all I needed to know about your character.A fighter until the end. God watch over your family.

Tony
I miss the days when you and me and Kevin K. and John C. and Ron B. would make fun of each other in the muster room of the 67 before hitting the streets early in the morning. We went on Burg patrol and you went out with Miriam to round up warrants. We were on patrol that day in on Church Ave in the 67 when we heard Miriam calling for help. We tried so hard to get to you Tony but we were hit by a cab and were all injured. I never had another chance to see you. It remains the saddest day of my life. You are always in my thoughts Tony, heaven gained a real angel that day and we all lost our caring and kind friend.

Anthony and mike calabrese greeted me at the door on my first day at the 67 in 1991. They brought me downstairs and gave me a locker and said “we are your family now” I will never forget that. Anthony was the nicest person I’ve known on the job. He was just the best, there’s nothing more to say.

"Tony Mos": You taught this clueless rookie many things in my 5 years in Fort Jah beginning in Jan 93. A truly great cop, and more importantly, a wonderful human being. You are missed.

Rest in Peace, Tony.

It was my honor to research newspapers, magazines, online & books to find your ID CARD Photo. I found this photo in a 1999 NYPD MEDAL DAY BOOKLET about your heroic sacrifice. I felt it was necessary to have a photo on this website so that your family & friends can remember you. Rest Easy Hero! Always Remembered!
