Reflections for Trooper William Gordon Barnes
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never dimishes respect and you will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

First off to the family of Trooper Barnes, I am so sorry for your loss and may God be with you all!! As tragic and horrifying as this is, God needed him for some reason with him. Trooper Barnes lived, as all officers do, to help people at their worst. To serve as a hero and a protector to hundreds of people. I am honored to be in the same profession as him and pray that he watch over the rest of us as we continue the fight. Thanks brother, you gave the ultimat sacrifice!!!
