Rest In Peace my Corrections Academy partner and partner at NIC. I clearly remember your outgoing presonality, your assistance as a fellow correction officer and your infectious humor. I’m retired now and would only assume you would be retired as well if you were here. You will always be missed.

Detective Carrington, when a complete stranger leaves a reflection, it's out of respect for a fallen Officer. If that stranger is in law enforcement it's out of respect for a fallen Brother or Sister and the knowledge that, any one of us could be next and we want to acknowledge your sacrifice.

When a family member or friend, co-worker leaves a reflection, it's all of the above and so much more. I've read through a number of reflections left by those who knew and loved you best and it's so obvious what a special man you were. The love shown here proves that what you gave and would have continued to give was nothing short of yourself as a whole.

I now have a special admiration and mourn your murder all the more.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

You are loved and missed by so many. Working with you at NIC at Rikers Island was so long ago but I remember that amazing smile you had and baby face, always dancing. Your Mom raised a true gentleman.Rest In Peace

I stumbled upon your story and I continued to follow it till it brought me here. I myself have three little ones and I must say reading your daughters excerpt above is powerful. 12 years on the job and no day gets easy when you follow up on brothers that came before me who passed. Gods watching your daughter along side you and I pray to keep her safe. Your a blessing before during and after me

I stopped a truck driver today who went to the academy with Det. Carrington. After the inspection he told me to look up his friend. Nice to see he has been remembered and his memory made it all the way out to Benson, AZ.

It was my honor to research newspapers, magazines, online & books to find your ID CARD Photo. I found this photo in a 1999 NYPD MEDAL DAY BOOKLET about your heroic sacrifice. I felt it was necessary to have a photo on this website so that your family & friends can remember you. Rest Easy Hero! Always Remembered!
