Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Bruce VanderJagt

Bruce VanderJagt.....a true American hero

A poem to reflect a Hero.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow,
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.

I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush,
of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am in the star shine of the night.

I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room,
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing,

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I do not die.

Although this is the eighth anniversary of your brutal murder, please know that you are not forgotten. Your valor and dedication are still remembered and your memory honored. Rest in Peace, Officer VanderJagt.

May your family continue to be comforted by their law enforcement family, and other police survivors.

Bruce, we will continue the fight for justice. There are many here on earth who will work to make sure your death was not in vain.

Officer VanderJagt,

It was disbelief that I read of Lisl Auman's appeal this morning. May she be convicted again and never see the light of the free world. It was ironic that you were featured officer on ODMP. I am praying for your family and Denver Police Dept at this time. I met your mother at the COPS camp the first year that Josh left.
